Pourquoi elle fera un succès: Il n’y a pas grande chose que Keri Hilson ne peut pas faire. A l’âge de douze ans, l’originaire d’Atlanta a découvert son talent de chanteuse et compositrice, travaillant très dure, à 18 ans, la beauté ne perdait pas de temps à faire les studios d’enregistrement. Aujourd’hui, à 26 ans elle écrit pour des artistes tels que Britney Spears « ‘Gimme More» ), Usher (» Love In This Club» ) et bien sur Timbaland (» The Way I Are» ) où l’on retrouve la douce voix de Keri. Membre du groupe de compositeurs appelé ‘The Clutch’, Hilson est devenu une star collaborative. Mais maintenant, avec l’aide du super-producteur Timbaland et Polow da Don, elle est prête à se mettre à l’avant et de débuter sa carrière solo avec son premier album appelé « In a Perfect World» . Présentant son univers unique de pop, hip-hop et R&B, Hilson offre des chansons avec des paroles très confessantes  comme celles de son premier single « Energy»  auquel chacun peut s’identifier. Maintenant, il est temps de briller.

Quel était l’artiste avec lequel tu as le plus aimé de travailler avec?
J’ai co-écrite des chansons avec Justin Timberlake, il est tellement drôle.
Qu’est-ce que tu crains le plus en lançant ton premier album solo?
Je n’ai pas vraiment de craint sur ce point là. C’est plus de l’anxiété; que bientôt le monde entier écoutera ma musique. Avec espoir.
Quelle est d’après toi la meilleure chanson que tu as écrite pour un autre artiste?
J’hésite entre  ‘Gimme More’ et ‘The Way I Are.’
En prenant cosidération de tout le temps que vous avez passé à travailler avec Timbaland, qu’est-ce que les gens trouveraient le plus surprenant sur lui??
Il est calme et très bien élevé pour la plupart du temps. Il est comme le filme buff.
Avec ton expérience question artistes R&B et Hip Hop, comment pense-tu que la scène évoluera dans les prochaines années?
Bah c’est déjà entrain d’arriver ce que je prédisais il y a des années. Je vois le Hip Hop se marier avec le R&B. On a des anciens rappeurs qui commencent à chanter — Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, T.I., etc. — et le R&B est devenu plus Hip Hop depuis l’ère Lil Jon. C’est magnifique que la musique évolue toujours.

Who was your favorite artist to collaborate with on the new album?
I co-wrote a song with Justin Timberlake. He is so much fun!
What are your fears about releasing your first solo record?
I really don’t have any fears at this point. It’s more like anxiousness; that soon the whole world will hear my music. Hopefully.
What do you think is your best song that you’ve written for another artist?
It’s a toss up between ‘Gimme More’ and ‘The Way I Are.’
Based on all the time you’ve spent working with Timbaland, what would people find surprising about him?
Tim’s very mild mannered and quiet for the most part. He’s quite the movie buff.
With all your experience with big R&B and hip-hop names, how do you see the scene evolving over the next few years?
Well, it’s already staring to happen the way I predicted years ago. I see hip-hop merging with R&B. We have former rappers literally singing — Snoop Dogg, Lil Wayne, T.I., etc. — and R&B has become more hip-hop ever since Lil Jon’s era. It’s beautiful that music’s always evolving.
