La transition de l’arrière plan aux dessous les projecteurs est pas toujours facile. Une artiste qui a eu du succès dans les deux points, entant que chanteur/compositeur est Ne-Yo. Avec les albums de Keri Hilson, Sean Garrett et Ryan Leslie qui vont sortir bientôt, Rap-Up a demandé au chanteur/compositeur très en Vogue ce qu’il pensait de ces nouveaux débutants talentueux qui cherchent les feux des projecteurs.

Pour commencer, je dois dire que Keri Hilson est beaucoup trop mignonne pour rester à l’arrière plan. de deux, sa voix est incroyable en plus du fait qu’elle sait écrire.Alors je pense qu’elle est très certainement celle qui mérite les feux des projecteurs. Moi qui suis arrivé de l’arrière plan confortable à ce qui est le premier plan un peu disons inconfortable peux dire que ce n’est vraiment pas ce que vous pensez. Pour un compositeur, essayer de se faire une place au premier plan, il faut savoir où l’on met les pieds. Il y a beaucoup à dire sur le confort de l’arrière plan..»

The transition from the background into the spotlight isn’t always an easy one. One artist who’s had success as both a singer and songwriter is Ne-Yo. With albums from Keri Hilson, Sean Garrett, and Ryan Leslie coming out, Rap-Up asked the acclaimed singer/songwriter what he thought of this new crop of talent looking for their time in the spotlight.

For one, I think Keri Hilson’s too freakin’ pretty to be in the background. For two, her voice is incredible—on top of the fact that she can write. So I think that she’s definitely one that deserves the spotlight, if anybody. Me being a guy that came from the comfort of the background into what’s a little bit uncomfortable, which is the foreground, it’s really not what you think it is. For any songwriters trying to jump into that foreground, just know what you’re getting yourself into. There’s a lot to be said about the comfort of the background.”
